History
High-end glass has been always a Czech traditional product. With almost two centuries of experience in manufacturing of packaging glass we are ready to supply even the most prestigious producers of alcohol, wine, liqueurs, and cosmetics flacons.
How it began
The glassworks’ history dates back to 1827, when the first of them was founded by the Strachwitz family. The production programme focused on the production of window panes and some types of utility glass for the domestic market. After that, the glassworks were owned by one glass manufacturer for 47 years and later became know under the name Reich.
Extensive technology renewal
The turn of 1945-1946 saw nationalization and incorporation into Krásenské sklárny, n.p. This step led to a major overhaul of technology, bringing the glassworks’ standards up to a high European level. The main production programme still focused on the manufacture of lab flasks, reagent bottles with ground stoppers and white and amber cosmetics flacons.
Unique bottles from Sklárny Moravia
In 1996, it was privatized, and a purely Czech company was established, the joint-stock company SKLÁRNY MORAVIA. Since 2012, we have been supplying high-end bottles from our new production lines. We place great emphasis on bottle design, which has been awarded many times in various prestigious competitions.
For several decades now, Sklárny Moravia has been specializing in the production of premium packaging glass for prominent producers of spirits, wine and liqueur, food glass and cosmetic flacons. We offer uniquely shaped glass in flint, extra flint, amber, black and violet. However, we have also stayed true to our roots, namely in the production of apothecary jars and reagent bottles with ground stoppers.
